Episode 6: Food Network Canada's Recipe to Riches category winner Don Harquail inspires new President’s Choice® product
President’s Choice® Triple Nut Toffee in Loblaw banner stores this weekend
Toronto, ON – This week on episode six of Food Network Canada’s Recipe to Riches, home cook Don Harquail of Burnaby, British Columbia battled against other home cooks in the Candies and Chocolates category. He won the $25,000 cash prize and his signature recipe has been developed into a President’s Choice® product. This weekend, Canadians can purchase Don’s President’s Choice® Triple Nut Toffee at select Loblaw banner stores across the country. Recipe to Riches airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on Food Network Canada.
After all category winners have been chosen, Canadians can vote online at www.recipetoriches.ca for the best of the best among the category winners, and the grand prize winner will take home $250,000 – the largest cash prize in Canadian reality show history.
Don Harquail is a charming man from Burnaby, British Columbia with a kind heart, a green thumb and a new lease on life. After suddenly falling ill several years ago, Don used baking as a form of therapy on his long road to recovery. Today, along with tending to his backyard greenhouse of prize orchids, Don takes great joy in treating his many friends to his delectable baked creations.
President’s Choice® Triple Nut Toffee – Like its creator, this is a real treat. Almonds, cashews, pine nuts and sesame seeds topped with buttery toffee and milk chocolately buttons, all of a graham cracker crust.

The finale airs on Food Network on Wednesday, December 12 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m PT. Voting will open on www.recipetoriches.ca at 12:01 p.m. ET on December 5 and close at 4:59 p.m. ET on December 7.

My thoughts on the "Triple Nut Toffee"..
Truly incredible!
Something I haven't had before, it's really tasty and a bit addicting!
The perfect treat to share over the holidays with your guests for your parties.
Nice blend of nuts (Almonds, Cashews, Pine Nuts & Sesame Seeds), great sweet (Milk Chocolaty Buttons) and salty (Buttery Toffee) combination/flavor, nice and crispy but at the same time it's softer than usual toffee and not hard (On A Graham Cracker Crust).
A FOR SURE must try item to pick up on your next grocery shopping trip. :)
