Hey Dolls!
I wanted to share my Top 7 Favorite New York Fashion Week Manicures.. NY Fashion Week is the source for tons of amazing nail art and gorgeous polish ideas, and the Fall 2012 shows were filled with Ombré glitter manicures, fishnet-stocking French tips, easy pinwheel nail art: this season it seems like such a perfect fun filled manicures styles. Check out below some of my top favorite styles! and how to create them!
* Rachel Antonoff: The showstopping "Flirty Flower" nails at Rachel Antonoff were created with two coats of CND polish in Flashpoint as a base, then hand detailed using CND Brilliant White and Anchor Blue.
* Rachel Antonoff: At Rachel Antonoff, the "Starry Night" manicure used two coats of CND polish in Midnight Sapphire with a sponged overlay of Eclectic Purple and Studio White, followed by a coat of CND Effects in Sapphire Sparkle.
* Nicole Miller: To create the swirl manicure from Nicole Miller, start with a base of CND polish in Plumville, then use a toothpick or eyeliner brush to swirl over the top with Electric Orange, Bicycle Yellow, and Anchor Blue.
* Joy Cioci: Instead of using a polish to tip nails, the CND nail team at Joy Cioci cut pieces of net overlay to fit.
* Creatures of the Wind: To create the muted green shade at Creatures of the Wind, nail techs applied two coats of Essie Sew Psyched topped off with a single coat of its Mint Candy Apple polish.
* Kate Spade: The unevenly sized polka dots on the monochrome manicures at Kate Spade gave nails a polished but whimsical feel.
* Catherine Malandrino: At Catherine Malandrino, models got this "Plum Cherry" manicure with CND polishes in Plumville and Dark Ruby topped with two layers of high shine CND Air Dry top coat.
