Health Minute: Benefits of Almonds

Hey Lovelies.
Love Almonds like me? But Wonder it's health benefits?
Here read up on another "Health Minute".
Almonds don't just make a healthy snack, they're a great addition to recipes, too.
I love snacking on almonds and yummy creamy almond milk throughout the day, almond milk is filled with vitamins and pure almonds ounce per ounce are the most nutrient-dense tree nut. In one ounce it's around 23 almonds. They're an excellent source of vitamin E and magnesium, and a good source of protein and fibre. I read a study conducted by the University of Toronto in 2006 on people with high cholesterol found one ounce of almonds a day, along with other heart-healthy foods, reduced LDL (bad) cholesterol. What's more, research has found that up to about two ounces of almonds daily does not cause weight gain and can actually help in weight management. It's hypothesized that the fibre in almonds may block some of the nuts' fat and calories (about 160 calories per ounce) from being absorbed by the body.

Some GOOD Ways of Almonds Serving Ideas:
* Sprinkle a handful of Almonds on your morning oatmeal/&pancakes or waffles.
* Sprinkle some Almonds on your Salad, for a great start to your morning
* Drink a glass of Almond Milk everyday, it's nutritious and super yummy replace your milk or soy milk for almond milk!!
* Almond-Orange-Cardamom Cookies, so yummy!
Chocolate Almond Smoothie, smoothie anyone! ;)
* Sprinkle a handful of Almonds on your hot chocolate's whipped cream as a pretty and healthy topping
* Almond-Currant Couscous, I've been obsessed with couscous lately and Almonds + couscous it's a healthy take on a side dish!
* Make a yummy nutritious dip of fresh almond & herbs
